APPLICATION CHECKLIST

The two-page Applicant Information form and application fee are what activates your student's folder and begins the actual application process. We encourage applicants to mail this form as soon as possible, preferably by December 11, 2008. Be sure to include the application fee ($48 for the U.S. and Canada, $98 for international applicants). If the application fee presents a hardship, please call the Associate Director of Financial Aid at 206-440-2773 to request a fee waiver.  All Applicant Information forms are due no later than January 15, 2009 for an on-time decision.

Upper School applicants are encouraged to submit the Applicant Information form, fee, and Extracurricular Activities form as soon as possible. Having this information early is helpful in scheduling an applicant's day visit, host, and classes. Priority scheduling is given to those whose Applicant Informaton form, fee, and Extracurricular Activities form are received by December 11, 2008. The final dedadline for these forms is January 15, 2009.

School interview. Candidates for the Middle School will be automatically scheduled for a small group informal interview once we receive their Application Information form and fee.

Upper School applicants should contact the Admissions and Financial Aid Office to schedule a visit or interview after the initial forms hae been sent.  We encourage applicants to submit the forms as soon as possible as space on our visit schedule is limited. Interviews begin in October 2008 and must be completed by mid-February 2009 for on-time applicants.

Register for the ISEE (5-10th grade applicants). It is best to register for the earliest test date possible so you do not have to worry about meeting the completed application deadline of January 29, 2009. The last test date that will meet our application deadline is January 24, 2009 (the registration deadline for this test is January 3, 2009).

11th-12th Grades:  The PSAT and SAT I are acceptable tests for 11th and 12th grade applicants.  If neither is available, we will need an ISEE test (see above).

Students should submit their Applicant Essays and Extracurricular Activities forms as soon as possible and no later than January 15, 2009.

Parent/guardians should submit the Parent/Guardian Comment form as soon as possible and no later than January 15, 2009.

After November 12, 2008, give the School Records form to your current principal or guidance counselor. The school should fill out the form and return it to the Admissions and Financial Aid Office with first-term grades from the current school year as well as grades from the previous school year, and all available standardized testing. You may make copies of this form if records from a second school are necessary. The School Records Form must be received by the Admissions and Financial Aid Office no later than January 29, 2009.

After November 12, 2008, give the Teacher Evaluation forms to two teachers who know the applicant well. One of the two teachers must be a current teacher. Due no later than January 29, 2009.
