"I earned the fastest time of my life in the 100-yard butterfly while I was at Lakeside."

"Everyone is given a certain level of talent, and you either take advantage of it or you don’t."

"I was drawn to lacrosse in 7th grade in part because it was an ideal middle school sport with lots of equipment, and it was very physical."

"Then, although my parents swore they were never going to buy me a horse, we leased my first pony; my dad fell in love, and then ended up buying him."

"I think the combination of playing golf at a fairly high level and being serious about it, as well as going to a school as academically rigorous as Lakeside forced me to always be on top of things."

"I loved that it was such a team-oriented sport, and that I could do a sport I enjoyed outside, and on the water."

"Even though tennis takes me away from a lot of things, like social activities, it’s really worth it to me. For me, it’s a privilege to go to practice. Sports are a great outlet for me to get my mind on things besides academics."
