On behalf of the Lakeside School Parents and Guardians Association (PGA), we'd like to welcome you to the 2019-2020 school year. We are your 8th-grade class reps and we look forward to an incredible year ahead! As class reps, our job is to build community, facilitate communication, and organize volunteers among our 8th-grade families. Building community is essential to the Lakeside experience and we want to make it as easy and inclusive as possible. One of the best ways to get to know Lakeside, your student's peer group, and other parents and guardians of Middle School students is through the variety of PGA events and activities. A great start is to come to the summer potluck social and Rummage work party. These events are Lakeside traditions and a wonderful way to get together in a casual setting. You will receive Pawprint newsletters in August and September with more details about upcoming fall events and opportunities to volunteer for PGA events and activities. Volunteering is truly a meaningful way to connect with our diverse and welcoming community. Please consider signing up to help with APPLE (faculty and staff appreciation program), dances, tailgates, class potlucks, and of course, the ROAR auction. We look forward to reconnecting with our returning families and meeting the new families. Have a fantastic summer, and we hope to see you all soon at one of our summer events!
