11th-grade news
On behalf of the Lakeside School Parents and Guardians Association (PGA), we'd like to welcome you to the 2019-2020 school year. We are your 11th-grade class reps and we look forward to an incredible year ahead! 11th-grade class reps, 2019-2020 From left: Jane Simoni, Julie Burgess-Dennis, Sandy Aslanian, and Nan Robertson Summer potluck social Traditionally the 11th-grade summer potluck has been small given our students' busy summer schedules, but we are planning a summer potluck as we have a new, incoming junior and we hope to welcome her prior to the first day of school. Date and time will be announced via an email.
Volunteer opportunities The PGA supports our students, faculty and staff, and parents and guardians in many ways and YOU are the reason we can make this happen! This year, our key involvement opportunities include potluck coordinator, Rummage sorting on scheduled Thursday mornings, and a ROAR class party host. If you are interested in any of these volunteer roles, you can learn more and sign up online by clicking here or contact class reps Julie Burgess-Dennis or Sandy Aslanian. There will also be chances to volunteer at the All-School Picnic on Tuesday, Sept. 3; ROAR, our community party and fantastic fundraising auction on Saturday, Nov. 23; and during the Rummage Sale on March 13-15, 2020.
Rummage Depot Wednesday, June 26, 9 a.m.-noon Come to our summer Rummage work party to connect with other parents, guardians, and students and help Lakeside prepare for our traditional fundraiser, the Rummage Sale! 11th grade is responsible for sorting, pricing, and boxing hardware and gardening items that are donated throughout the year. This is a great way to learn how others are spending their summers, have fun, and support Lakeside. There's no need to RSVP, just come to the Rummage Depot (lower level of the PGA office) any time between 9 a.m. and noon on Wednesday, June 26.
Fall sorting begins Thursday, September 12, 8-11 a.m. We will be sorting Thursday mornings throughout the school year (9/12, 9/19, 10/10, 10/31, 11/7, 12/5, 12/19, 1/16, 1/30, 2/13, 2/27, 4/16, 4/20, 5/21, and 6/4). The Rummage Sale is in March and there will be many opportunities to volunteer the week of the Sale. Contact our class reps Nan Robertson and Jane Simoni with any questions regarding Rummage.
