Endowment funds support school programs in perpetuity. In anticipation of fluctuating market conditions over the long term, the Board of Trustees has adopted an endowment spending policy of approximately four percent of a twelve-quarter, rolling average market value. Campaign funds invested in endowment will provide an additional $3.3 million per year for the school to use.
Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Match
All campaign gifts, whether for capital/endowment or annual support, will release 1:1 matching funds given to Lakeside School from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Matching funds will follow their designations (academic excellence, financial aid, global education, etc.) into the endowment.
