Living Our Mission: Join the Campaign Now

In September 2005, the Lakeside School Board of Trustees announced Living Our Mission:The Lakeside Campaign. This historic and ambitious campaign focuses the school's resources to provide current and future students with outstanding faculty and challenging opportunities.

An endowment campaign that benefits students and faculty so soon after its launch is rare and notable. In this final phase of the campaign, we are asking all members of the Lakeside community to participate by making their contribution today. Gifts of all sizes, from parents, alumni, and other friends of the school, will be needed for us to reach our goal.

As of June 20, the school community has contributed $103.7 million toward our $105 million goal. Here are just a few examples of what donors have made possible through their campaign contributions:

  • Expansion of the language program in the Middle School for 5th graders, allowing them to select one of four languages and study it for a full year
  • A new year-long economics course in the Upper School for juniors and seniors
  • 17 new scholarship funds established
  • A new Field Turf™ athletics field at the Upper School; a new strength coach; and improved weight training facilities
  • Two new faculty Chairs established—one in Math and one in Science
  • A complete re-design of the Middle School music program so all students have access to full year instrumental music instruction, 5th through 8th grades

The campaign has been raising the needed resources to build upon Lakeside’s long-standing tradition of educational excellence. If you haven’t yet made your campaign contribution, please consider giving today.
