LEEP Admissions

Most LEEP students are selected based upon recommendations from their middle school counselors. These Seattle Public School counselors know that LEEP seeks students who could use a boost to assist them in getting more out of their educational experience. All LEEP students are able learners. They are all students who can do well in high school and in college, whether or not they have demonstrated that ability in previous academic work. Students are eligible to attend LEEP when they are in the eighth grade and on their way to become freshmen in high school the following school year. First priority for this program goes to students from families whose income level would prohibit their attendance, if they were required to pay.

While most of the students in LEEP stem from Seattle Public Schools, some students attending the program come from other public and private schools. The student body is intentionally diverse academically, ethnically and culturally, and as gender balanced as we can practically make it. All students in Seattle Public Schools who wish to make application to LEEP for the coming summer should talk to their eighth grade counselors for additional information.

If you'd like to request an application packet, please contact Wendy Russell at (206) 440-2788.
