Our program features multiple levels of string orchestra, as well as concerto and chamber music opportunities for advanced players. Lakeside is among the very few middle school music programs in the nation that offer membership in a large ensemble, access to superb private instruction, and chamber music coached by passionate artist/teachers. Our string faculty sit side-by-side with students in the daily rehearsals and coach chamber music projects throughout the year. Advanced players take on demanding roles as soloists, chamber musicians, composers, and student conductors. Beginners experience music making in a positive environment, and prepare for continued success in the dynamic orchestra program.
