W140 Canyonlands Volunteer Work and Study Program: Spring Break & the short week after, 2009 Parent Student Information Meeting: Date TBA, 7-9 PM, Kent-Evans Auditorium. Mandatory Student Prep Meeting: Date TBA , 10 AM- 4 PM, St Nick Outdoor Room This traditional offering of the Outdoor Program always seems to end up being one of the best trips of the year. This program has special promise of providing a unique opportunity for education, personal growth, and enjoyment. This two-week outing takes place during Spring Vacation and the short week after. The group will travel to the Grand Gulch Primitive area in southeastern Utah and spent their time backpacking, studying anazai ruins and history, working on a ruin protection project and doing a 2-3 day solo. Limit of ten students. No previous experience required. Cost: Approximately $475. Leaders: Jara Popelkova and TBA. Student selection for this program will happen the first week of October 2008.
