W130    White Pass Ski Touring: February 18, 20-24, 2008

Parent/Student Information Meeting: February 7, 7-9 PM, Kent Evans Auditorium

Mandatory Student Prep Day: February 19, 10 AM-3PM, St Nick Outdoor Classroom.

   This will be a five-day, snow-camping trip based near the White Pass Ski Resort. We will do a one day tour and lessons(Feb. 18) on Snoqualmie Pass, then have our food Packing day at Lakeside, then go off to White Pass for 5 Days. At White Pass students will spend two days skiing on maintained trail to develop touring skills and then move into the backcountry to explore the winter wonderland of the William O. Douglas Wilderness Area. No previous skiing experience necessary. Limit of ten students. Cost: Approximately $215. Leader: Chip Mehring
