Supporting Fun, Teamwork and Sportsmanship
Lakeside's Friends of Lakeside Athletics (FOLA) committee organizes and produces activities to enhance communication between sports teams, parents and School administration through the use of parent representatives; perpetuates Lakeside traditions; develops and promotes spirit and pride within the Lakeside community; and facilitates individual sport's needs.
There is at least one volunteer parent representative for every sports team- boys and girls - included on the FOLA committee. FOLA support includes:
- Hosting Burgers on the Quad at Homecoming for Lakeside families and alumni
- Coordinating team fundraising activities
- Coordinating team snack schedules
- Organizing team end-of-season gatherings
- Championship banners
- Putting together slide shows of the season's games for the MS and US end-of-year sports assemblies
