The Lakeside boys varsity soccer team hasn't lost a game or given up a goal in Metro League play this season - that streak continued Thursday (Apr. 4) after O'Dea left Stimson-Carlisle Field on the short end of a 3-0 final scoreline.

The Lakeside varsity tennis team is on bit of a roll - that might be an understatment - the Lions carved out an 11-0 result over Franklin on Wednesday (Apr. 2) to capture their 23rd consecutive Metro League victory (including playoffs), a streak that streches back to the spring of 2012.

Head of School Bernie Noe announced on Friday (Mar. 28) that Chris Hartley has accepted the position of Lakeside’s director of athletics and that he will take on his new role this July.

Lakeside School announced on Friday (Mar. 14) that Abe Wehmiller, athletic director, has accepted the position of director of athletics at Charlotte Country Day School in Charlotte, North Carolina.

After Katie Wilson won a state volleyball championship in 2010 as the head coach at Seattle Prep, she decided she was done coaching high school volleyball. Within months, she had landed a job at the collegiate level, as an assistant coach at Seattle University — a job she felt at the time was a “perfect fit.”
|Girls Lacrosse Opens Season with a Draw|
After falling in an early 4-0 hole during Monday’s (Mar. 10) WSLA contest at Parsons Field, the Lakeside girls varsity lacrosse team ran off seven straight goals, but only managed a draw, as Issaquah rallied late to force a 10-10 result in both team’s season-opener.

Lakeside freshman Sophie C. has been selected Lion of the Week after being named the Kent-Meridian Invitational Athlete of the Meet along with registering a first place finish (4:56.49) in the 1600-meter run on Saturday (Mar. 29).
