| Welcome! Whether you are visiting our site as an applicant, a parent or guardian, or simply as a curious visitor, we're delighted you're interested in Lakeside School. It's our hope that the Admissions section of our website will provide you with valuable insights into life at Lakeside, and explain to you not only the process of applying, but also how Lakeside can help you fulfill your educational goals.
My own introduction to Lakeside was through a book I read as a teenager, The Amateurs by David Halberstam. One of the main characters was an aspiring Olympic athlete and an alumnus of Lakeside. I remember being in awe of this individual because of his talent and I was curious about his life. As an adult, I began to hear more about Lakeside and I was impressed by the school’s unique reputation. On one hand, it’s known as a challenging academic institution with an innovative curriculum, and yet, it also possesses an extracurricular program so strong, it can produce Olympians, and it has a growing list of experiential programs that allows students to learn in every conceivable venue. I knew I had to check it out!

Our school has so much to offer, whether you're looking for a top math, science, language, or humanities education, or you want to become a varsity athlete, cultivate your artistic talent, or you’re interested in traveling and working in another country, or you want to do a little bit of it all!
