Lakeside School is easily accessible by auto on Interstate 5, which runs through the heart of Seattle. Northbound from the downtown area, the campuses can be accessed by exiting either NE 130th or NE 145th and heading west to 1st Ave. NE. The campuses are between these two major east/west streets.

The Washington State Ferry system, the largest in the United States, provides access from the Key Peninsula and many island communities in Northwestern Washington. Ferries are a part of life in Seattle; regular daily ferries operate from downtown to Vashon, Bremerton, and Bainbridge. The Seattle docks, located on Alaskan Way just below the Pike Place Market on the downtown waterfront are a wonderful place to visit. Seattle Transportation's (SEATRAN) Bicycle Program has developed urban trails throughout the city. Many Seattleites use bicycling for recreation or transportation, and several Lakeside faculty & staff bike to work. From the south, Lakeside is easily accessible from 5th St. NE, 1st Ave. NE, 8th Ave. NW.
