School-wide, Shared Projects:

To encourage and support environmental learning, Lakeside participates in and has developed several school-wide projects. They were chosen and organized so that teachers and students in any grade level and any discipline can reach their academic goals and do useful work through participating.

They are:

Lakeside Indicators - a tool for tracking and improving the health of the Lakeside community

The Thornton Creek Project - An educational collaboration focused on teaching through the shared work of understanding this 12 square mile watershed community

A related project, which is no longer active, is the Changing World: Changing Schools Program.

During the 1994 - '95 and 1995 - '96 school years it helped faculty explore ways in which the world is changing and the implications of these changes on schools in general and Lakside in particular.
