GLOW (Gay, Lesbian or Whatever) is a gay-straight alliance (GSA) student organization.  People who are interested in learning about and discussing GLBTQ (Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender and Questioning) issues are welcome to attend GLOW on a one-time or regular basis.

GLOW’s mission is two-fold: to support students and faculty who identify as GLBTQ (Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender or Questioning) with a safe space to discuss issues of sexual identity and coming out, as well to be an activist organization for GLBTQ issues both on campus and in the wider community.

In previous years, we have organized day-long GSA summits for Western Washington schools, we have hosted speakers prominent in the national GLBTQ community and we have put on campus events to promote awareness about the challenges which are faced by members of the GLBTQ community.

Lakeside GLOW is proud to be Washington’s best GSA of the 2005-2006 academic year, and VP Zach L. ’07’s receiving the GSA leader of the year award.  Zach and the leadership from that year are pictured at left.
