Leopard Adding a Network Printer Leopard Accessing Lakeside Servers  

Tiger Adding a Network Printer on your Mac

  • Under the Apple menu, select System Preferences.

  • Click on Print & Fax

  • Click on the + below the list of printers to add a printer.

  • Click on More Printers.

  • Select Windows Printing

  • Select Lakeside and click on Choose

  • Scroll down to locate Gutenberg.
  • Click on Choose.

  • Use your Lakeside first.last user name.
  • Enter your Lakeside password.
  • Click OK.

  • Scroll down the list of printers.
  • Be sure to pick one of the printers that is marked Alternate queue with short name. Note that these printers have names with any spaces.
  • Click Add

  • A list of your printers appears in the Print & Fax window.
  • Click on the + to add other printers or close the window.

Connecting to a Server with your Mac

  • Under the Go menu, drag down and select Connect to Server.

  • Click on the Browse button.

 

  • Click on Network
  • Click on Lakeside.
  • Scroll to locate Maroon.
  • Click on Connect

 

  • Enter your Lakeside first.last user name.
  • Enter your Lakeside password.


 

  • Select the server volume

 

Return to Top

 

  • Click OK.
  • The server will mount on the Desktop.

Adding a Wireless Connection to your Mac

  • Click and hold on the Wireless icon in the upper right corner.
  • Select Other

  • Enter Network Name.
  • Set the Wireless Security to None.
  • Click OK.
