Poetry
Project
Using digital
multimedia (video, graphics, music), Windows Movie Maker 2, and
PowerPoint/Producer, these 7th graders created poetry projects to
meet the following challenge: "student poets match their
words with music, images, and action in a way that extends the poem's
effect on its audience". Click here
to see and hear some examples. |

Compositions
& Performance
Samples
of 8th grade electronic music compositions are available here
for listening (scroll down to Electronic Music for links to music
files).
There is
also a movie of a culminating project where Electronic Music students
compose pieces on the keyboards and computers for a specific set
of instruments. Middle School musicians then perform those
works under the composer's direction. Click here

Writing
and Filming a Movie Script
The elements
of this assignment include script-writing and movie-making.
With script in hand, teams of 7th graders take on the roles of Director,
Film Crew, Editor, and, of course, Actor in bringing a script to
life. Using digital camcorders and Movie Maker 2, each team
produces a movie for each script. A web site that includes
links to all the videos (28 in all) and the nominees for the "Academy
Awares" is available here. |
.....other examples
will soon be added to this space including presentations of Spanish
and French painters from language classes, as well as some examples
of video projects done in this year's 6th grade Life Skills class.
Stay
tuned! |
