Geometry
The following sites provide specific information about geometry. For information about more specific topics, try searching Internet Public Library or Librarians' Internet Index. Also, remember to search the library's databases and catalog!
General Sites
- The Geometry Center
Includes reference materials, software downloads, video productions, and other educational materials. - Geometry - Wolfram MathWorld
This is an extensive collection of geometry resources arranged by topic. The site is updated daily and entries are referenced in books and journals. - Homework Help - Geometry
Math.com offers help with geometry building blocks, relations and sizes, polygons, and three dimensional figures, as well as study tips and test prep. - Geometry Gallery
Saltire's Geometry Gallery is a collection of Java applets showing interesting geometry configurations. All applets are dynamic in that user input can cause the configuration to change. In some cases, points can be dragged. In other cases dimensions can be changed via edit controls. Some of the applets feature animation. - Erich's Packing Center
Assorted packing pictures and animimations, as well as further links. - Geometry in Action
From the site: "This page collects various areas in which ideas from discrete and computational geometry (meaning mainly low-dimensional Euclidean geometry) meet some real world applications. It contains brief descriptions of those applications and the geometric questions arising from them, as well as pointers to web pages on the applications themselves and on their geometric connections."
