Visit us virtually!
For the 2020-2021 season, all admission and financial aid related events will be held virtually via Zoom. While we will miss seeing you in person we are excited for the virtual options we have available to our prospective families. All events require registration in Ravenna.
Our virtual events
Middle School, grades 5-8
Admissions Activity (required)
The virtual, student-only, admissions activity is required for all Middle School applicants.
During the visit, applicants will complete a group activity and have the opportunity to ask questions about life at Lakeside Middle School. Examples of frequently asked questions are geared toward lunch, sports, clubs, friends, classes and homework.
The admissions visit lasts approximately 45 minutes and can be scheduled in Ravenna. We encourage applicants to register early.
The visit process is different for international applicants; our admissions team will contact you if an interview is needed. Visit the International Application page for details.
Campus Tour (optional)
These optional, virtual tours are intended for parents/guardians and prospective students entering grades 5-8 for the 2021-22 school year. Note: If you attended a campus tour during the 2019-20 school year and would like to attend this year, we ask that you wait to tour until December 2020 or January 2021. This will allow newly interested families the greatest opportunity and availability to tour campus.
Please check Ravenna for availability on specific dates and times.

Upper School, grades 9-12
Interview (required)
A student interview is required for all Upper School applicants to Lakeside School. We highly recommend scheduling it as soon as you know you will be applying to the Upper School. Applicants do not need to attend a campus tour or open house prior to the interview.
Upper School interviews will be held over Zoom and are a relaxed one-on-one conversation with a faculty or staff member. Our goal is to get to know the applicant beyond what is included in the application. Topics discussed are based on students’ interests, and have included: black holes; favorite books or school projects; babysitting; bird watching; playing video games; sports wins and losses; baking cupcakes; community service, and more. Applicants will have the opportunity to ask any questions they may have about Lakeside School. Lakeside’s Upper School Interviews typically last 20-30 minutes and is scheduled in Ravenna.
Campus Tour (optional)
Virtual Upper School campus tours are offered October-January for families considering grades 9-12 for the 2021-2022 school year. These small group tours are 60 minutes in length and are designed to provide a general overview of the Upper School. Families will see classrooms, arts, and athletics facilities, and learn more about the Lakeside student experience. Tours are for prospective students and their parents/guardians.
Note: Tours are a completely optional part of the application process. All admitted Upper School students are invited for a visit day in the spring to have time in Lakeside classes before making the decision about where to attend high school.
