Sally Jewell, former secretary of the interior, will give the Dan Ayrault Memorial Endowed Lecture on Wednesday, March 20. Jewell will share insights from her career in a moderated Q&A.
Jewell's priorities while interior secretary included environmental sustainability, science-based land and water conservation, renewable energy development on public land, better relations with Native American tribal nations, and programs to connect children, particularly those historically underserved, with the outdoors.
The lecture takes place in St. Nicholas Hall and starts at 7 p.m. It is free and open to all members of the Lakeside community. RSVPs are appreciated. A reception will be held in McKay Chapel following the lecture.
