An Independent School • Grades 5-12

by Alixe Callen, Upper School director

Lakeside Upper School students had a rare opportunity to play in the snow today. After our assembly speaker cancelled, the assembly committee successfully lobbied the administration for an "all-school free period." We opened the gym for basketball and other games, and made spaces around campus for kids to gather, but the majority of students congregated on the quad for a snow extravaganza. Snowballs, snowmen, soccer in the snow! Students returned to class 35 minutes later with rosy cheeks and smiles.
