An Independent School • Grades 5-12

by Lilli Forgette, admissions visit manager, and Eliza Parsons, associate director of admissions

Greetings and welcome from the admissions and financial aid team! Our goal is to support your family through the admissions process. We are here to help!

At the start of the admission process in early fall, we like to recommend the following first steps to families considering Lakeside School:

  1. Sign up for an account on Ravenna, our online application management system.
  2. Schedule your student’s Upper School interview or Middle School admissions visit using Ravenna. Interviews and visits are a great way for you to learn more about Lakeside, as well as Lakeside to learn about you. The Upper School interview is a 20-25-minute informal conversation and will include 10-15 minutes for parents and guardians to ask questions of their student's interviewer. Middle School visits happen after school and last about an hour. Student applicants get to speak with current students, visit classrooms, meet faculty and staff, and complete group activities, while parents and guardians hear from adults who work or have children who attend Lakeside.
  3. Come visit us! Register for an Upper School and/or Middle School tour, again through Ravenna. These optional tours do fill up, so sign up early!
  4. And lastly, register your student to take the SSAT, our required admissions test. (You can learn more about the SSAT and Character Skills Snapshot in Booth’s recent blog.) As with our tours, interviews, and visits, these test dates fill up fast. The earlier you register, the greater your chance of finding a test date and location that work for your family! Head over to SSAT.org to learn more and sign up for a test date.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us should you have any questions (admissions@lakesideschool.org or 206-368-3605). Again, we are here to help!
