Every once in a while, an un-posed photograph captures one of the reasons I love teaching at Lakeside.
Last week, I gave a quiz, the last problem of which was quite difficult for most students. After class ended and I had collected the quiz, instead of leaving, students gathered together in little groups, eagerly talking about how to solve that last problem. Even after I tried to send them on their way, they stayed for a few minutes more, talking among themselves about the problem. I discretely pulled out my phone and snapped a photo, careful not to disturb the moment but wanting to capture it in some way as a reminder to myself.
Students at this school really want to learn, even after class and outside of class!
