Parents and guardians of Lakeside Upper and Middle school students are invited to attend an educational webinar to build understanding of implicit and explicit bias; share the effects of bias on learning; and learn how to interrupt harmful bias with respect and grace, and with the purpose of growth and learning. 

Date: Wednesday, Feb. 16, 7-8:30 p.m. 

Location: Zoom. A registration link will be emailed to parents and guardians a week before the event. The webinar will be recorded and posted on the parents and guardians webpage.

Speaker Greg Taylor is a civic leader, community enrichment strategist, and social justice advocate who has worked with educational, governmental, and major organizations around the Pacific Northwest. Over the last two months, he has been working with Lakeside employees and students in developmentally appropriate presentations that are based in the school’s anti-bias work.
