Students watch Coco together at the 2018 Fall Festival.
On Friday, Nov. 12, all Upper School students are invited to the fourth annual Fall Festival from 3:30-5:30 p.m. in and near the WCC! This year, Middle School students are also invited to join in the fall fun from 1:30-3 p.m. Students can enjoy activities like escape rooms, Mario Kart, pingpong and spike ball tournaments, origami, friendship bracelets, and more. There will also be tasty treats, including pizza and a baker’s surprise. Middle School students will have a special schedule on Nov. 12, and will walk to the Upper School campus together for the festival.
Organized by the Student Affinity, Alliance, and Learning Leadership Team (SALT), the afternoon festival will bring the campus together for a fun event that is similar to May Day. Upper School affinity, alliance and learning groups include Black Student Union (BSU), Chronic Illness and Disability Affinity (CIDA), Gay, Lesbian, or Whatever (GLOW), Interfaith and Spirituality (IS), Lakeside Asian-Pacific Students (LAPS), Lakeside Anti-Racist Students (LARS), Latin/o/a/x/e Hispanic Affinity (Latispa), Native American Student Alliance (NASA), Multicultural Initiators eXperiencing and Encouraging Diversity (MIxED), and South Asian Affinity Group (SAAG), and the Student Awareness Council (SAC). Learn more about these groups here.
This festival is a fundraiser for affinity, alliance, and learning groups and will supplement their programming throughout the year. Entry is $8 and gets students 8 tickets for activities and food. Financial aid is available.
