An Independent School • Grades 5-12

by Jamie Asaka, director of student and family support/director of diversity, equity, and inclusion

With the onset of this global pandemic, parenting seemed to change overnight. We were thrust into uncertainty, experienced the loss of our daily schedule and the necessity of changing how we worked and socialized. Many of us were flooded with emotion even as we lost our social connections and support. And on top of this, all of us were tasked with a new level of intensity in caring for our children.

“Parenting in the age of COVID-19: Navigating challenges with hope and resilience” is a series of webinars designed for Lakeside parents and guardians in recognition of the intense experiences and feelings you are currently managing. Our hope is that through an exploration of the topics presented, you will strengthen your parenting skills and deepen your confidence in your ability to navigate these challenging times.

Each webinar will feature speakers from Lakeside School’s student and family support program and include a presentation and a Q&A. Webinars will be conducted on Zoom, and invitations will be emailed to Lakeside parents and guardians. Please RSVP for the sessions that you would like to attend and submit advance questions at that time. There is no cost to participate.
