Investigative Learning Camp Jr. (Grades 3-4)

Exploration and play lead to serious learning at Lakeside's Investigative Learning Camp Jr. Our camp is open to the public.

Students from any school entering grades 3-4 select two classes (a morning and an afternoon class) per week in the STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art) realm. Campers are taught by dynamic elementary and middle-school teachers and supported by a diverse group of camp counselors who share campers’ passion for learning.

Update as of 2/13/24 at 3 p.m.: All ILC Jr. weeks are now full, and the waitlist is no longer accepting more students. Please check back in mid-December to view our offerings for Summer 2025.

Class options

Families register for individual weeks. Campers choose a morning class and an afternoon class for each week of camp. Please note that some classes will be offered certain weeks but not others. Classes are first come, first served, so register early for your first choice classes. Registration opens to the public on our website February 13.

Campers signed up for morning art or afternoon cooking should wear clothes that may get messy. Smocks/aprons will be provided, but spills do happen! Campers signed up for all activities (and especially afternoon sports) should wear comfortable clothing and athletic shoes.
